CO₂ neutrality by 2039

We are taking responsibility today for future generations.
Our goal is to make our production sites in the Light Metal Casting division carbon-neutral in Scope 1 and 2 by 2039.

To achieve this, we are increasing the use of certified electricity from renewable energy sources such as wind power and photovoltaics every year.
Step by step, the entire production of cast parts will be converted to "green energy".

We achieve measurable and traceable progress by calculating and reporting our carbon footprint via the internationally recognized CDP system.

Our measures for a sustainable future

We focus on expanding our own energy sources and resource-conserving processes.
We are already saving around 2,000 tons of CO₂ annually through photovoltaics, well cooling and intelligent waste heat recovery.
At the same time, we are closing cycles and expanding the use of primary alloys.
Together with customers and suppliers, we are pursuing ambitious reduction targets.
Our development expertise flows into the expansion of lightweight components and parts for alternative drive systems.

Our "green foundry"

We have set a milestone for sustainable production with the new plant in Kechnec.
We are increasing energy efficiency, significantly reducing gas consumption and therefore emissions, and halving the use of hazardous substances.

State-of-the-art plant technology ensures shorter process times, higher productivity and a balance between economic success and ecological responsibility.
This consistent focus on sustainability was recognized with the "Sustainability Award in Automotive".
